A great naked walk along a fantastic public beach where you sometimes can have the beach almost to yourself. I have walked this route loads of times, both on my own, with my wife and with a couple of friends. The beach can get busy in the summer but the further you walk south on the beach the quieter it gets So you should have no problems getting naked. We have never had any issues with other beach users other than a few surprised looks. The full walk is long (around 10 miles) but of course you can easily turn round at any point and walk back.
The best place to start is at the public car park. Park up here then walk down to the beach via the access path. Turn left (south) and walk a few hundred metres down the beach and find a spot to stash your clothes and get naked. We like to get naked as soon as possible to maximise the fun!
we usually walk down to the low water line and then walk South down the beach until we reach the far end where it curves around to the left gently before reaching the point at the southernmost tip of the dune complex. There is a coastguard watch tower here which sometimes is manned, sometimes is not. This part of the beach is very narrow and you may consider it a little too sketchy if you are uncomfortable walking naked where you may encounter some textiles. We never really had any problems other than a few surprised looks from the rather bemused textiles.
The next section, (which to be fair is very short) is definitely a spot where you stand a good chance of an encounter with textile walkers as the beach is very close to the coast path, again though we have never had any issues. We have never walked beyond the buildings a few hundred yards further on. When you have gone far enough just turn around and walk back!
It is possible to find your way back through the dunes, but it is very hard going and on a hot day almost unbearably hot – You can’t just walk down the beach and have a quick dip to cool off! We usually just retrace our steps back along the beach at the waterline or walk along the top of the beach.
