Druridge Bay – Northumberland

This another beautiful spot for a naked walk in a public place. Druridge Bay is around 4 miles long, so it is possible to have a really long naked walk in the most astounding wild place.

It can be several degrees colder up here inNorthumberland than in the south of the country, but don’t let that put you off, on a good warm spring or summer day the temperature is great for walking naked.

There is no “best spot” to start your walk, but its probably a good idea not to strip off too close to either of the main car parks at the north and south end of the beach, as this is where you will generally find the most textiles. We tend to park at one of the smaller car parks and walk through the dunes then turn left (north) or right (south) and walk a short distance until we find a quiet spot to get naked and stash our clothes and gear.

I have been here several times with my wife (never in a group) and have had great naked walks along the beach. We have walked the whole length of the beach naked, usually at low to mid tide, at the waterline and had no real issues. The beach is used by naturists for sunbathing and swimming, but most naked people keep a fairly low profile, usually taking a spot at the top of the beach or just back in the dunes, only venturing down to have a dip in the water.

In that respect it is unusual for any naked people to be walking the length of the beach, and it is probable that you will meet some textile walkers, guaranteed at the weekend. Having said that, if you come here on a weekday (for some reason the start of the week seems to be quieter), it is usually very quiet. I have been on the beach on some summer days and pretty much had it to myself.

We have been here on a spring weekend (in May) and it was still very quiet – we met only five or six textiles at the waters edge in about 2 hrs of naked walking. To be honest we quite like walking in sketchy locations, it all adds to the fun when you see the looks on some of the faces of the textiles.

All in all, this is one of my most favoured beaches up north, it is pretty remote, in an amazing location, and gives a great naked walk.

I thoroughly recommend that you ditch your clothes and walk the full length of Druridge bay naked, unencumbered by clothes, bags or any un-natural encumbrances, you won’t regret it.
